Coinciding
with the development of Internet in Spain the company Infotel, Information
y Telecomunicaciones S.A. was founded by five partners in 1996 in
Granada. In only 7 years the company has become one of the leading
suppliers of corporate information within Spain, counting with a
customer portfolio of almost 50.000 clients, the majority of which
are SMEs and sole traders and professionals representing the different
sectors of economic activity.
INVESTORS
This together with Infotel’s high quality products and services
and big innovative capability to create new products, resulted in
1999 in the take over by BSCH, Fondo Capital Riesgo Internet, of
20% of the company through a capital increase. This opportunity
was not wasted by Infotel which increased their existing customer
data base from 10.000 to 28.000 clients and more than doubled their
turnover going from 2.15 million Euros in 1999 to 4.8 million Euros
in 2000. The high growth rate and the good results encouraged the
American company Capital Z Financial Service Fund to give Infotel
a new capital injection of 13 million Euros.
GROWTH
As part of the company’s business development strategy Group
Infotel was founded, whose first action was the opening of a branch
office in Buenos Aires – Argentina which is considered as
the point of departure of the group’s future expansion into
Latin America. The strategy also included a renewal of the company’s
image by changing its name to axesor. A name which reflects all
the company’s values in one single word: Pragmatism, Quality,
flexibility, High Response and Innovative Capacity.
During
the last year axesor has consolidated itself as one of the leaders
within its sector, closing the year with a client portfolio of more
than 48.000 clients and a turnover exceeding 10.1 million Euros.
The
objective of axesor for the year 2003 is to continue the positive
development of the company by seizing new opportunities and overcoming
challenges, finding strength in the high quality of our services
and the satisfaction of our customers.
